Reality LA: The First Ten Years
The story of Reality LA is a story of God’s abundant grace and faithfulness. In this short documentary, you’ll hear about founding Pastor Tim Chaddick moving his family to Los Angeles to start a church, the crucial role of prayer in the church’s beginning, the very first Sunday gatherings, people’s transformative experiences in gospel-centered community, our passion to serve locally and globally and plant churches, and RLA’s vision and mission to be a church that is all about Jesus for the good of our city.
Our goal in sharing this video is to invite you into the history and mission of our church family, and more importantly, to glorify God for all that He has done in and through us.
What is our focus as a church, and what are our individual roles within that focus? Pastor Jeremy Treat preaches from John 21:20-23 on Jesus’ call to each of us to follow Him, love others in community, and point people to the gospel. You may find it helpful to also view Reality LA: The First Ten Years, which touches on many of the same themes.
The Joy of God’s Kingdom
Competing Narratives and the Kingdom of God
Everyone lives according to a story, a master narrative that answers life’s most important questions: Who am I? What is life all about? And how does God relate to all this? And while there are a variety of narratives competing to shape our lives, the Bible offers the grandest narrative: the story of a gracious God making His broken world into a beautiful kingdom.
This site seeks to help people understand this kingdom story by providing a chronological look at the biblical narrative, highlighting key points in the unfolding storyline. Each section looks at a particular section of Scripture, learning about themes to watch for as well as hearing a teaching on this part of the story.
