We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for salvation and reconciliation with God, each other, and all of creation. When we put our trust in Jesus, we are saved into His church and empowered by the Holy Spirit to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel in word and deed throughout the world.

Local Outreach

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7

We’re called to be on God’s mission every day in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces. Wherever God has placed us, He has uniquely equipped us to glorify Him and display His gospel through evangelism, service, and caring relationships. Below are a few of the organizations and individuals Reality LA partners with to spread the love of Jesus in Los Angeles.

Global Outreach

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

Many of us are sent out into different parts of the world for long- or short-term missions. At Reality LA, we want to practically equip and prepare those who are sent out from our congregation as well as help them readjust upon their return. Below are a few of the organizations and individuals RLA partners with to spread the gospel in a variety of global contexts.

Missional Focus

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis 1:26

The Bible tells us that all human beings are created in God’s image. However, because of the presence of sin in the world, our dignity as image-bearers is often marred and forgotten. But the gospel shows us that not only does Jesus heal us and draw us back into relationship with God, He also transforms the way we view others. Thus, part of our responsibility as Christians is to recognize the image of God in others and encourage them to see themselves in light of the God who made them.

We want to be a blessing to our city and the world by living out the love of Christ and sharing the good news of who He is. Below is the first of several event initiatives which will focus on God’s mission and our participation in it.
