Isaiah 54, Deuteronomy 6, Matthew 18 & 19, Psalm 127, Proverbs 22, and more provide a glimpse of the heart of our God for children. But while God’s Word certainly gives wisdom for raising children in the ways of the Lord, it does not answer every question for those preparing to become parents. We are excited to dive into these questions and discussions during our first-ever pre-parenting class.

We will cover a wide array of topics during our time: how the way you were raised will affect your parenting, what values will inform your parenting, things to expect during pregnancy and delivery, how we are called to connect with different relationships within the family, and more. The class will be lead by Pastor Dan Broyles and his wife Carli. Pastor Dan has served as a pastor of marriage and care for many years in Santa Clarita and Carli is a delivery nurse—we are so thankful for their wisdom and for leading our discussion!

This class is specifically designed for and focused on those who are currently expecting, engaged/married couples who are considering starting a family, and new parents with children up to two years old (though anyone interested is welcome to join). Because of this focus, we will only be offering childcare room children two years old and under, which will be staffed with background-checked members of our RLA Kids team.
