In contemporary culture, the value of friendship is often underplayed or outright ignored. As a result, far too many Christians go it alone, believing that all their relational needs can be met through a romantic relationship. In this class, however, Pastor Jeremy Treat talks about how Christ’s call to follow Him together entails deep friendships that find their basis not merely in common interests, but in a mutual pursuit of God’s kingdom. Friendship is not supposed to be an added bonus to the Christian life, but an essential part of it.
