It’s almost Christmastime here in Los Angeles—a season of merriment, of joy…and of frigid 60 degree weather. We have much to celebrate and we want to do it together as the family of God!

As a church, we hope to be marked by the love we have for one another (John 13:35). While Sunday rhythms give us a chance to interact and engage, it’s often just enough time to say “hi” and “bye” before we’re back in the car. So we’ve made Family Connects a regular rhythm of Reality LA as a way of cultivating community and building relationships with one another and our volunteer team in RLA Kids.

Our final Family Connect of 2018 will be in the Helen Bernstein High School courtyard immediately after our second Sunday gathering. If you’re looking for Christmas joy, this is the spot! We’ll have bounce houses, games, a hot chocolate and Christmas cookie creation station, music, face painting, a photo wall, and more!

We encourage you to bring a lunch and spend time in the outdoor steps area when your family is not connecting with other families and people in our church or participating in all of the great activities and games. While many of our Kids Min volunteers will be in attendance, they are be there interact with families, so kids will still need to be under parents’ supervision (so please no dropping off!).

All of us are part of this church family and should be invested in the lives of families in our church; so while this event is primarily designed as a great time for the families, kids, and RLA Kids Volunteers to connect, we’d love for anyone in the church to attend! We encourage you to reach out to neighbors and invite families outside our church (Christian and non-Christian alike) to join us as we seek to live our lives in community in the city. We’ll have event info cards available every Sunday at the Kids Ministry check-in tent, so grab some to pass out to neighbors, coworkers, classmates, or anyone else you’d like to invite.
