Suzy is a literal valley girl: born in Glendale and raised in Burbank, where she continues to live today.

Growing up, Suzy always believed in God, but it was in high school, through Young Life, that she realized she could have a personal relationship with Jesus. Up to that point, she only prayed and sought God when she “needed” something. Suzy realized Jesus wanted to be Lord in all areas of her life and, after surrendering her life to Jesus, began living for him.

After marrying her high school sweetheart, Jim, they had two girls and two boys. And after thirty-five years (and counting!) of marriage, she now celebrates three grandchildren. One of their daughters told Suzy and her husband about Reality LA, where they later joined a community group and decided to serve.

Suzy connects with God through devotional reading, spending time out in creation, and through worship music. Unlike may Angelinos, her California roots are deep—all her family and longtime friends live here. Her dearest dream for her family is that her grandchildren will grow up influenced by the love of Jesus in her life.
