Tell us a little bit about who you are!
The Navigators’ Hollywood ministry focuses on helping studio executives, actors, directors, writers, producers, and creative professionals in LA’s entertainment industry discover a transformative relationship with Jesus and empowering them to do the same for others. We’re passionate about helping these influential culture-makers develop a deep relationship with Jesus Christ while navigating the unique challenges and opportunities of working in Hollywood.

How do you pursue God’s renewal of our city and world?
Our ministry creates spaces where entertainment professionals can discover and explore faith in ways that resonate with their creative perspectives. We host regular outreach events and courses on studio lots designed specifically for industry professionals to discover and grow in their faith. These gatherings lead to discipleship groups and one-on-one mentoring relationships where deeper spiritual growth happens.

This work ties directly to God’s renewal of Los Angeles because entertainment professionals shape, not only our local culture, but global culture through their storytelling and creative work. LA is one of the world’s most influential cities precisely because of the stories emanating from it. By discipling these individuals, we’re helping transform both them and their network of relationships, as well as the stories told and values promoted through film, television, and other media. When Jesus transforms the hearts of those who create our city’s vital export of culture and entertainment, we see ripple effects throughout Los Angeles and beyond.

How can we support you and engage with your mission?
We desire to partner with Reality through consistent prayer support and volunteer involvement. Reality includes people who work in entertainment who can get involved with our groups and help mentor newer believers. We also welcome opportunities to share stories of God’s work in Hollywood with the church family to inspire prayer and participation in reaching our city. Reality can help expand our outreach by introducing us to and connecting us with those who work in or have connections to the entertainment industry and might benefit from our community.

How do you hope this partnership will shape our church?
We want to help shape the heart and culture of Reality by broadening vision for cultural engagement in Los Angeles and through the changed lives of people who’ve participated in our ministry. By sharing stories of transformation happening in Reality and Hollywood, we can inspire the church to see the entertainment industry as a vital mission field where God is at work in our city and get them further involved with discipleship. This perspective can help impact Reality’s approach in engaging colleagues who work in media to see this core LA industry as a place for gospel influence.

How can we pray for you?
Pray for:
• Our ministry to flourish as we lead LA entertainment professionals to faith and disciple them.
• God’s protection over our team, volunteers, and families as we work in what can be a spiritually challenging environment,
• The Lord to bring more staff, people, and resources to this critical ministry area.
• Wisdom as we navigate relationships with influential industry professionals throughout the city.
• Open doors for meaningful conversations about faith in an industry that is often skeptical of Christianity
• The creative professionals we disciple to have the courage to live out their faith authentically in their workplaces across LA.
• That our work, by starting with the entertainment industry, will contribute to spiritual renewal across our city.
