Daniel hails from Orlando, Florida, the home of Disney World, Universal Studios, and Gatorland (which is exactly what you think it is, and definitely worth Googling). Growing up in a Christian home, Daniel was always aware of Jesus’ existence, and was well-versed in the Bible from an early age. But it wasn’t until his early twenties that the things he’d learned as a child really clicked and he understood that Jesus truly was his savior.

It was also during his early twenties that Daniel moved from Florida to the equally sunny (but way less humid) Southern California. There, while editing videos for a church youth group, Daniel discovered a passion for filmmaking. Daniel is now the CEO of Second Collective, a production company that works with a wide variety of clients, from corporations to musicians, and he’s traveled to Japan, Sierra Leone, and Haiti shooting videos for non-profits.

Daniel met his future wife, Dominique, while they were both volunteering in their church, and they share a passion for serving people. The Furukawas first visited Reality LA because a family member was going there, and they soon got plugged in by volunteering in the kids ministry.

Daniel and Dominique now live in Northridge, the crown jewel of the San Fernando Valley, along with their three kids. Daniel loves that his kids can experience so many different world cultures in LA without ever having to get on a plane, and he and his wife are passionate about serving Jesus faithfully in the big and the little things of life.
