Growing up in Bakersfield, a city with a big music scene, it’s no surprise Candice managed a band by the age of sixteen. After growing up in a church her entire life, she visited a church where she heard the guitarist for a band named Korn give his testimony, followed by a pastor saying that you don’t need to clean yourself up to come to Jesus, that Jesus extends grace while we are yet sinners. This message of love and grace blew Candice away. She couldn’t believe she didn’t have to earn God’s love.
After college and a business management degree she landed a job as a tour promoter for stand-up comedians. On a break from touring, she wanted to find a good local church in her travel hub of Los Angeles. Reality LA celebrated its one-year anniversary the first Sunday she visited and it’s been her home church ever since. She’s still inspired by the love of Jesus and wants to share it with others.
Today she’s married to Arthur and is the mother of two children she homeschools full time in Studio City. Her current goal is to become a Bradley Method instructor in order to equip women for healthy, positive birth experiences. And after all her years of travel she thinks LA is the best city in the world!
