A native Hoosier, Amber grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, in a Christian family with a supportive church community who nurtured her sincere belief in Jesus. However, it was after moving to LA in 2005 and earning a masters in production design, that her faith deepened in the hard years that followed. God showed up in “the wilderness years” in tangible ways, showing her time and again that when she had reached her limits alone and wasn’t enough—he always was.
Her favorite time to seek the Lord is each day at 5AM, when she regularly prays and studies the Bible, always with a cup of coffee or tea at her elbow. As an artist, she also connects to God through the beauty of his creation: hiking in Malibu, trekking up a mountain in Japan, wandering through the hills in Northern Ireland, or watching the sunset in South Africa. She practices Muay Thai (a martial art), loves studying history, and is passionate about reading and connecting with fellow bookworms.
Amber lives in the NoHo Arts District and her favorite things about LA are the many opportunities to learn new skills and gain new knowledge. She appreciates Los Angeles and Reality LA as great places to pursue the beauty of God in his many aspects.
