Social Sunday on September 21 is about finding and growing connections with our church family beyond the courtyard and out in this great city of ours having fun together, trying new things, exploring nature, or getting creative.

Museums, meals, hikes, sports, painting in the park, rollerskating, anime, used bookstore dives, outings for singles, couples, families, and beyond. Every Social Sunday is new because…

The activities are led by you!

This is a congregant-led initiative, meaning each Social Sunday there are as many activities to sign up for as there are people who step up to lead them. The activities themselves are held in the weeks that follow at various dates and times as set by their leaders. The types of activities available on social Sunday are entirely determined by the activity leads.

Have a great idea for an activity? Don’t see the activity you want? Sign up to lead one! Leading an activity is a great way to foster connection, build healthy relationships, and have fun with your Reality LA family—all of which are important values of our church.

So what, exactly, is an activity lead responsible for?

• Plan and coordinate a one-time activity of your choice (day/time/location/cost/demographic…all up to you)
• Attend Social Sunday on September 21 to represent your activity (or designate a representative to be there).
• Leading up to the activity, send out one reminder communication to those who’ve expressed interest.
• Have a blast at the activity and take a group photo.
• Let us know how it went and how many people participated at events@realityla.com.
