Morgan was raised in a Christian home and grew up in church. At the age of seven, during a church concert, she prayed to accept Jesus into her heart and soon got baptized. A few years later she experienced profound loss. In the midst of grief, Jesus became her ultimate comforter. God also gave her the gift of a teacher who introduced her to writing as a means to process what she was going through and she’s been writing ever since.
Her family moved from Pennsylvania to Texas, where Morgan’s faith was bolstered through youth camps and Christian student organizations. Then she had the opportunity to go to Biola and started attending Reality LA. Between bible classes and sermons, her understanding of theology grew. God has both provided for and refined her through the gift of community. It was in a community group that Morgan met her husband, Ace! They live in Burbank with their two little kids.
Morgan continues to write (preferably at a coffee shop, sitting across from friends) and serves as an adjunct professor at her alma mater. She enjoys listening—interviews, audiobooks, podcasts, worship songs, you name it—discussing good TV, and family date nights.
