Tell us a little bit about who you are!
Kaimore is dedicated to breaking the cycle of generational poverty by providing holistic support to transition-age foster and at-risk youth and their communities. We deliver effective training programs aimed at empowering young people with the skills and knowledge necessary for upward mobility in their careers, sustainable financial success, and accelerated independence. Our signature program encompasses financial literacy, career development, and entrepreneurship topics, life coaching, mentorship support, and real-world experience and internships to adequately prepare participants to transition into adulthood. It is particularly geared toward those aged 14-29.
How do you pursue God’s renewal of our city?
In California, only 20% of transition-age foster youth receive essential federal employment or vocational training, leading to nearly half being unemployed and economically vulnerable. With housing prices and homelessness across LA at an all-time high, now is the time offer a pathway college education, a rewarding career, the ability to increase income, and—perhaps most importantly—to sleep in one’s own home each night feeling fulfilled and excited for tomorrow.
Kaimore empowers youth with essential skills and resources to secure stable employment and create a second income stream by launching their own meaningful business. Our program tackles unemployment and educational gaps through job-readiness training, placement, and assistance; masterclass courses; entrepreneurial internships; and career coaching. This approach not only equips participants for immediate job entry but also fosters sustainable entrepreneurial ventures that contribute to long-term economic stability.
How can we support you and engage with your mission?
Continue praying for our clients and volunteer to become mentors in our program!
How do you hope this partnership will shape our church?
We would like to invest into the foster youth that you serve, especially those who may be transitioning out of RFKC. We have a great mentorship and career development program that prepares them to enter the workforce or higher education with a plan for the future. We look to partner with churches or faith based organizations because the youth ultimately need Christ more than anything, and we would love to come alongside and supplement such changes with practical support.
How can we pray for you?
Please pray we can find a way to fiscally sustainability without being entirely dependent on government contracts (as we are now). Pray for our student-clients and pray that our team, that will be a force of good and change for the sake of God’s kingdom.
