Heart, Head, Hands: Family Care Training
As a church, we take part in an annual rhythm of events designed to lead us into active missional engagement by first understanding our mutual poverty with those in need and walking with them into flourishing just as Christ did with us. This the Life Cycle of Renewal.
January through March we focus on what it means to be beloved by God and we celebrate human life. All life. From the unborn to the elderly, from the free to the oppressed, all are worthy of love, dignity, and honor. One of the organizations we partner with in this honoring of human life is Claris Health.
How do we come alongside the moms and dads who have chosen to continue with their pregnancy and become parents? How do we walk alongside those who have made the hard decision to entrust their child to adoption? How do we care for those who have experienced heartbreak in abortion, infertility, or adoptions falling through? How has God called his church to love these families as he has loved us?
Claris has invited us to join them for an event called Heart, Head, Hands: Family Care Training at their family center in Inglewood — an interactive tour to learn more about how the gospel informs their work in the city, to learn how to love our city well, and to participate in a small service opportunity.
