Heart, Head, Hands
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” The second is this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” There is no other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30-31
January through March we will be focusing on the first stage of the Life Cycle of Renewal: being the beloved of God. As Christ first loved us, so we love our city.
Our partners at Claris Health joined us for Sanctity of Life Sunday and our hearts have been stirred for the families they serve. But we can’t stop there! We also must engage our minds to learn about true needs and systemic issues so we can better use our hands to serve in a way that is healthy and honoring to those in need.
How do we come alongside the moms and dads who have chosen to continue with their pregnancy and become parents? How do we walk alongside those who have made the hard decision to entrust their child to adoption? How do we care for those who have experienced heartbreak in abortion, infertility, or adoptions falling through? How has God called his church to love these families as he has loved us?
Claris Health has invited us to join them at their family center in Inglewood for an interactive tour where they will help us answer some of these questions.
