Tell us a little bit about who you are!
Cru is an interdenominational Christian organization begun by Bill and Vonette Bright in 1951 on the UCLA campus. What started as a local student outreach in Los Angeles has grown into one of the largest missionary-sending organizations in the world. Today, Cru has a ministry presence in over 190 countries (representing 99.6% of the world’s population) and includes over 25,000 staff members dedicated to reaching students, families, athletes, and professionals with the good news of Jesus.

How do you pursue God’s renewal of our city?
One of our core tenets is that university campuses are a strategic “crossroads” for the world. We pursue renewal by winning students to faith, building them up in their walk with Christ, and sending them out as lifelong, Christ-centered disciples. By reaching students during their most formative years, we are raising up a generation of leaders who will carry the gospel into every sphere of society—the arts, business, education, healthcare, and beyond—transforming our city and world from the inside out.

How can we support you and engage with your mission?
Whether by joining our financial partnership team, receiving our monthly newsletter to pray for specific campus needs, or even hosting a student dinner, there are many ways to get involved! We also love to serve local churches like Reality LA by providing resources for personal evangelism and discipleship. You can partner with us by by signing up for our monthly newsletter or reaching out to us for coffee and to hear more about what God is doing on LA campuses!

How do you hope this partnership will shape our church?
We’re thrilled to partner with Reality LA to bridge the gap between local church and university. Church partnership is essential for creating lasting spiritual movements and providing students with a multigenerational community. We believe that, as the church engages in mission on campus, it will ignite a passion for the Great Commission in the congregations’ hearts, encouraging everyone to see their own daily lives as an opportunity to share the hope of Jesus.

How can we pray for you?
Please pray for the lost students and faculty in Los Angeles—that the Holy Spirit will open their hearts to the gospel. Pray for our staff team as we balance the demands of local ministry with global responsibilities, and for strength, protection, and perseverance for our Cru community on campus.

How can we contact you?
