Tell us a little bit about who you are!
Claris Health is a non-profit with clinics in West and South LA and a mobile clinic that provides medical, mental health, and support services, primarily to individuals and families facing unintended or challenging pregnancies. For nearly fifty years, Claris has stood alongside individuals and families in their most vulnerable moments, offering critical services that foster hope and stability. Our trauma-informed approach ensures that families receive the care they need to move forward with confidence. 

How do you pursue God’s renewal of our city?
One of our core tenets is that we value all human life. This means that we acknowledge, uphold, and care for all individuals (regardless of race, religion, socio-economic status or place of origin) and their children (born and yet-to-be-born). Our model of care reminds people that a brighter future is always possible for them, their family, and our city. And, most importantly, we wrap our arms around each person served, building a community of support so they know they’re never alone.

How can we support you and engage with your mission?
Whether it’s through one-on-one support and mentorship for pregnant moms, organizing our baby stores, assembling hygiene kits for outreach initiatives, or providing small gifts and notes of encouragement for women joining the post-abortion support group, there’s an opportunity for everyone to get involved! We’re also available to provide any of our medical, mental health, or support services to anyone in need in the congregation.

How do you hope this partnership will shape our church?
We’re always excited to find new ways to partner with Reality LA! Church partnership is a key ingredient to creating lasting relationships and making a difference in the community. Our collective impact is so much greater than any solo organization, and we believe we’re truly called to join together to serve our city. We trust that the relationship between Claris Health and Reality LA will open doors for many lives in the Reality LA congregation to be encouraged, healed, and ignited to serve the world around them.

How can we pray for you?
Please pray for our clients and patients as they navigate challenging and often life-altering situations. Pray for support, encouragement, hope, and a deep sense of belonging. For our team as they continue to pour into the lives we’re called to serve. For strength, protection and perseverance. Also, we have a very big opportunity to plant roots in South LA as we build a one-of-a-kind community center, joining many other organizations under one roof to serve as a true light in this city. Pray that God will continue to open critical doors to move this endeavor forward and for wisdom each step of the way.
