Good City Mentors provides inspiring mentorship for high school youth most at risk of dropping out. Their innovative model mobilizes a team of mentors into a school, partnering with school staff and identifying the students most at risk of falling off track. The mentors meet weekly with students for a personal leadership session focusing on Good City’s four principals: compassion, consistency, community, and character. Good City Mentors has proven that surrounding students with a supportive community of caring adults has a positive impact on students’ well-being and decreases chronic absenteeism and dropouts. Good City Mentors aims to be the bridge between people who want to make a difference in their city and youth in need. Our vision is a Los Angeles where every student graduates high school and is supported by a caring community.
