While a quick search on Wikipedia will tell you that a “pip” is the seed of an orange or an acronym for the Pakistan Institute of Physics, Pip Craighead will tell you that it is actually short for his full name, Philip. Pip was born and raised in Pasadena, California (home to the Rose Parade), the child of Australian parents who met as missionaries in Hong Kong.
From an early age, Pip knew that Jesus was real, but in high school his relationship with God was overshadowed by sin and worldly idols. At the age of 17, though, God drew Pip’s heart closer to Himself, and since then God has graciously continued to hold him through life, through seasons of both joy and sorrow.
One of Pip’s deepest pleasures is enjoying God through art, and so he spends much of his time drawing and making music. He edits copy and twitters tweets at Reality LA. He has a beard, eats granola, and listens to a lot of ambient music, yet he demurs from being called a “hippie” ...but that sure sounds like a hippie to me.
