Lorenzo was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, so he brings that exotic, international flavor to the RLA leadership. His Christian upbringing was a blessing in many ways, but because of it, he mistakenly perceived Christianity to be about religious duty and observance. Completely missing the concept of a personal relationship with God, he walked away from it all.
Despite Lorenzo’s best efforts to jack up his life, God graciously grabbed his attention at age 21. Not long after, he accepted a friend’s invitation to go to church, and the environment was night and day from anything he had experienced before. The people there seemed to possess something substantive and their passion for God was sincere. Curiosity compelled him to return week after week.
It was there that Lorenzo came to understand the Gospel for the first time and realized that it was all about what Jesus did, eh, and not what Lorenzo had to do. This spiritual awakening ultimately led him into pastoral ministry.
In 1998, Lorenzo played an instrumental role in planting a church in his hometown, and has been involved in formal ministry ever since. Lorenzo spent nine years ministering in Orange County, California, during which time he met his wife, Isabelle. Jesus helped him to overlook the fact that she was formerly a French-Canadian separatist.
In 2009, God called them to move to the great city of Los Angeles where Lorenzo joined the pastoral staff at Reality LA to co-labor with his old friend, Tim Chaddick.
Lorenzo and Isabelle currently live in Wilshire Vista (where???) with their little daughter, Jaslyn.
