Josh grew up in the cornfields of Indiana, where Gene Hackman led his scrappy high-school basketball team to a shocking state championship. Prior to that, his childhood was full of tee-ball, fort building, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the show, not actual ninja turtles), 4-H Club, and going to church. He was profoundly influenced by one particular youth pastor whose earnest love for Jesus and people made a lasting impact on his life.
Josh accepted Christ in his early teens, but became lukewarm in high school and college. Breaking up with a college girlfriend led Josh to a point of great personal pain, where he realized he couldn't serve two masters - both Christ and the world. He found peace in entrusting his life and decisions to Jesus.
Josh acted in many school plays throughout middle and high school, and he studied Video Production and Theater in college. After graduation, he came out to LA to work in film.
Gradually, Josh sensed the Lord putting a passion into his heart for communicating the truths of the Bible. As a result, he is currently serving RLA in various capacities - including an internship - and continuing to grow in Jesus. He enjoys improv, cinema, theology, and having long conversations about all three of those topics.
