The Church is an instrument through which God continues His mission, the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. We acknowledge that the Gospel is the only hope for the salvation and restoration of our broken relationships with God, ourselves, and the rest of creation. After believing on the Gospel, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live our lives on this mission.
“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7
God’s mission is to be lived out every day in the communities in which He places us. We are on mission in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces, in our times of recreation and our times of service. As God has uniquely situated us in different contexts, so He has also uniquely equipped us to glorify Him and display His Gospel within those contexts.

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20
Many of us are sent out of our local community into different parts of the world on mission, for long or short periods of time. Reality LA desires to practically equip and prepare those who are sent out from our congregation, while also helping them to re-acclimate upon their return. We support those who seek discipleship and holistic ministry, have faithfully lived on mission locally, and have prayerfully and patiently considered ministry abroad.
