With ancestors who hail from the frozen, northern wastes of Canada and the sunburnt, olive-strewn terraces of Italy, Lauren was born and raised in a large, loud, loving extended Catholic family in Orange County. Growing up, whenever she wasn’t in school she was focused on dance competitions. She made friends she still has today and got to travel all across the country, but she also came to derive her personal worth from her performances. While she believed in God, Lauren still didn’t know the intimate, relational love Jesus had for her.
However, while attending Sonoma State University (go Seawolves! – wait, what’s a seawolf?), she became running partners with a Christian girl and began learning more about God. In time, Lauren became aware of the depth of her own sin and the possibility of acceptance in Christ. Talking to a family member, she found her questions about Jesus answered and her heart drawn into relationship with the Lord.
After receiving a degree in Business and Communication, Lauren moved to Los Angeles and began attending Reality LA. She’s passionate about serving God and serving people, and these two passions meet in her Global position at RLA Missions Department. In her free time, she runs around scenic Los Feliz, cooks Italian food, hangs out with her community, and enjoys the great outdoors—nature, that is, not the 1988 John Candy-Dan Aykroyd family comedy. Though that’s fun, too.
