Reality LA is a church plant of Reality Carpinteria near Santa Barbara, California. Britt Merrick, the teaching pastor at Reality Carp, had often led his congregation in prayer for Hollywood. Tim Chaddick, who joined the Reality Carp staff in 2004, prayed weekly about planting a church in the heart of Los Angeles. After roughly two years of prayer, Reality LA launched its first Sunday morning service in January of 2006 at Gardner Elementary School.

Reality LA is part of the Reality network of churches. We are grateful for, and consider ourselves accountable to, this family.

Reality London was planted by Reality LA in the summer of 2009. Prior to that, it had been in development for a year beginning primarily with prayer. During this time, God made it clear that Mark and Lizzie Dyrud, who were both on staff at Reality LA, were to plant a church in London. After a time of raising support, they moved to the UK in the summer of 2008 in preparation for the launch of our first church plant.
